It rides smoothly on the road and treats its passengers to a user-friendly interior and comfortable seats. Features include a rear wiper and air-conditioning. A 2.5-liter engine making 173 horsepower and 166 pound-feet of torque propels this Forester. The manual five-speed transmission allows for more driver control and better fuel economy. Safety features include antilock brakes and front- airbags. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Forester their best rating. The Institute performed frontal offset and side-impact crash tests. They also named it a top safety pick in the compact SUV class. The 2008 Forester earned a perfect five stars in federal testing. As mentioned above this Subaru Forester has a well-appointed interior. The seats are comfortable and supportive. This vehicle has a low lift-over height for ease of loading.
